This record was mixed and mastered using the new EBU R128 loudness measurement standard. This is important for a few reasons.
This recording is not as loud as other records in your collection. Specifically, this is about as loud as Meat Beat Manifesto's "Satyricon", which was released in 1992, or Prince's "1999", released in 1982.
When playing this recording, turn your volume up to a comfortable listening level, and then remember to turn it back down before putting on the new Katy Perry record or whatever you're into. Unless you play "1999" afterwards, in which case you can probably leave the volume where it is.
Because this record is mastered with some headroom, it also has better sound quality than the average record released nowadays, with more dynamic range. Be careful with the volume control if you have nice speakers or easily-annoyed neighbors, because the loud parts get loud.

This is intended to be a dynamic and lively recording. However, not all sound systems or listening environments can enjoyably reproduce this type of content, and as such, this recording is made available in three versions:
1. The reference master, which represents the original intentions of the artist, mastered to a loudness of approximately -18 LUFS using the EBU R128 standard. (This is the default and recommended version.) This is available in both MP3 and FLAC lossless versions. To play the FLAC version, you'll need a player which supports it, or you'll need to transcode into something that your player understands.
2. A gentle master, which brings down the lows and highs and evens out dynamics in order to accommodate suboptimal listening situations, also mastered to a loudness of -18 LUFS. I don't prefer this version, but if you have a system that overemphasizes bass or treble frequencies, it might work better for you.
3. A promotional master, which removes frequencies below 30 Hz and limits dynamic peaks to accomplish a loudness of around -8 LUFS. This version's dynamics are heavily compromised, so this should only be used for competitive purposes, such as playlists and mixtapes alongside other recent pop music. (Do not use this version unless you absolutely must.)
Below are FLAC-encoded stems for each track on the EP. If you'd like to make a remix, download one or more of these. The stem packs contain a variety of samples of the sounds used in the original recording, along with complete vocals separated into lead and background tracks.
Each pack contains a README.html file which describes the pack's contents along with some brief instructions for use and some licensing information.
